Beginning: Astrological Foundation of Dominance

Blog.  This is a blog about total dominance in astrology and in human action. What is dominance? Well, many things, maybe too many things. Let us dictionary guide us first.

Meaning.

Dominance
  1. rule; control; authority; ascendancy.
  2. the condition of being dominant.
  3. Psychology. the disposition of an individual to assert control in dealing with others.
  4. Animal behavior. high status in a social group, usually acquired as the result of aggression, that involves the tendency to take priority in access to limited resources, as food, mates, or space.
  5. Neurology. the normal tendency for one side of the brain to be more important than the other in controlling certain functions, as speech and language.

Rulers. There's a subject matter that seems to neglected in modern astrology. We tend to use words, astrological jargon, without pondering their meaning. Ruler is such a word. Every astrological sign has a ruler. In ancient times rulers, i.e. planets, were considered gods, nowadays this idea is considered outdated. Maybe too much so, as compared to humans, maybe planets are gods. Ruler is the one have the uttermost power. Total dominance. Then there are us, humans, who subject of astrology with our  relative free will. What interests author here is personas who are top of their field. These people can be seen as more or less pure types of planetary influence and manifestation. They bring planetary gifts to life. To excel at something means that one is able to perform something a lot better than others. Astrologically peak performers are a big subject of interest because as we have learned from previous studies astrological effects are more evident among the most eminent professionals. For example Mars effect in sport men is stronger among peak performers. So we can expect that astrological effects to be seen more easily among top performers in various fields. These rare individuals offer us astrological lesson to learn.

Pluto. When we contemplate the dictionary meaning of dominance, certain associations are astrologically self evident. The key planet in dominance is Pluto. As author sees it, Pluto doesn't control anything directly, it operates via other planets. At the most elemental level the subjects of astrological influence are Sun and Moon. They also represent the fundamental source of genius. However, alone these planets are too "simple" (elementary) to produce genius/excellence. Pluto is a epitome for power and control. At times one might almost think that power and control are the only things that interest Pluto. Though there might be more in that motivation...but that would be a topic of different conversation.  Conceptually the relevant idea is that one can consider Pluto the ruler of solar system. As the farthest planet it manipulates and controls the energies of the inner planets in accordance with its own motivation. This is compatible with the traditional astrological logic where in case of aspects the inner planet receives the aspect and the outer is a modifier of the energies of the inner planet. In this sense we can consider Pluto especially powerful and technically skilled manipulator. One might think of Pluto as a super villain who's superpower is to control and manipulate the superpowers of others. Planet contacted to Pluto has more detailed and sophisticated abilities than it would alone have. Those abilities now serve Pluto's interest in power and control.

Genius. Planets that are outer than Jupiter  have a capability to produce great skill/genius.Mercury, Venus and Mars are too limited in their perspective to produce genius. Now we have the "recipe" for total dominance. It is Sun and/or Moon + Jupiter/Saturn/Uranus/Neptune (one of several of these) + Pluto. We can "cook" this constellation of dominance via aspects, midpoints or midpoint axes. All that is required is that all the parts of recipe are included. The most standard forms of constellations of dominance are Ju/Pl, Sa/Pl and Ju/Sa/Pl. This varies however, for example for scientists Uranus is more important than Jupiter. The point is that practically all the geniuses have to have these constellations of dominance. All. Without exceptions.

Side note. There's need for a side note at this point of the presentation. Power, control, dominance can all sound pretty much like a bad thing, something that is not to be pursued. Well, author once pondered what would be three the most important things in life and he came up with the triplet: Force, Discernment (i.e Wisdom) and Love. Later I noticed I'm not the only one who have invented this order of priority. The thing is that without power, control and  dominance (including "Force") nothing can be accomplished. In order to achieve something in life, one has to in the end have a control over oneself and to the certain extent, over the world. As a ruler Pluto doesn't need anybody, he can survive on its own. This attribute of Pluto in human context equals with a maximum of relative personal freedom and autonomy in our restricted physical reality. Without those, very little of anything valuable remains. Pluto is also relevant in more practical level. Pluto represents things that we dominate, things that are under control and areas of excellence. One could also use the term "comfort zone". Comfort zone is many times the build up platform for survival in material world, i.e. for financial pursuits such as work. Growing as a person often requires enlargement of the comfort zone. Pluto can help with this. Therefore, Pluto in astrological chart can give oneself for example a valuable tip of what could be appropriate occupations and hobbies for oneself etc.

Forms. In astrological chart factors of dominance such as Ju/Pl and Sa/Pl can be seen in many forms. First part of the "recipe" is Sun and/or Moon. It has to be present in the constellation that forms a pattern of dominance, otherwise the constellation is not personal enough. The constellation can be formed by aspect patterns or midpoint constellations that includes these planets. For example Su/Ju/Pl -T square or a midpoint Sa/Pl=Mo are such constellation. Variations are numerous. The primal mid point constellation is formed by midpoint axis that includes Sun and/or Moon and Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. The possible midpoint constellations in this case are Su/Sa=Ju/Pl, Su/Ju=Sa/Plu and Su/Pl=Ju/Sa and respectively, similar constellations for Moon. Oppositions are also included, for example Mo/Ju=180-Sa/Plu etc is also this type of constellation of dominance.

Anchor. It is preferred that dominance constellation have an anchor that "stabilizes" it, actualizes its potency. This anchor can be another planet that hits the midpoint axis or is in square aspect to it. Chart axes AC, MC, DC, IC can also act as anchors, when they are near the mid point axis. Midpoint axis here refers to midpoint itself and its opposite.  How close they should be? That is a question that it hopefully illuminated after we have studied enough personas. It can be something around 1-2 degrees or more. Let us see. Another type is anchor is a third or fourth midpoint that hits the constellation of dominance. If there are no anchors it is better that the midpoint axes are within relative tight orb in order to dominance constellation to be practically functional.

Focus. This blog focuses on the big figures in history among various fields. The astrological point is, that these historical figures_have to _have one or (preferably and in most cases) many of these dominance constellations. They represents absolute peak performance in the areas that are most competed fields of human endeavour. If astrology works, these people_have to_have the constellation of dominance in their charts that enables them to be absolute peak performancers in their field. And in theory, no exceptions. However, In practice this is probably not the case in totality, for many reasons, for example because sometimes the birth data is wrong. If the peak performancers have dominance constellations - as they seem to have - it's pretty exciting. Actually it's more than that....it's potentially groundbreaking and revolutionary since it that case we would finally have a proof that astrology works. However, author does not intent to prove anything, he wants to demonstrate it. It is up to reader make his own conclusions. For astro hobbyists such as author, realization of dominance constellations can make astrology more interesting and intriguing than ever before. It enables one to see how astrology works time after time without exceptions and occasional chart-persona mismatches that one inevitably faces cease to exist. This blog intents to demonstrate just that. Though author can't promise that he doesn't ever write about other interesting astrological topics.

Preface. Now we have reached the end of this preface. The forthcoming postings are intended to demonstrate and clarify what has stated in the open text.

Summary

This blog concentrates on the big names of history in order to demonstrate how certain Pluto related planetary constellations are present among these peak performancers. In all the them, without exceptions. This is one of the most important postulates of this blog, and with respective to the general relevance of this blog, also the most interesting one.

On a personal level Pluto is the most important planet in the sense that it shows the areas where we have the most concentrated interest, ability and independence.

Basic astrological formula of total dominance involves Jupiter or Saturn, Pluto and the lights. Uranus and Neptune can also be involved in the constellation of dominance. This constellation can be formed by aspects, midpoints or midpoint axes.
